Thousands of excellent teachers and students gaining remarkable achievements in learning and teaching during school year 2016-2017 were honored and awarded with the prize up to approximately 2 billion…

On August 16th, Nam Dinh Council cooperating with Luong The Vinh Funds for Education held Excellent Students Award of school year 2016-2017.

During the Award, Mr Cao Xuan Hung, Director of Nam Dinh Department of Education and Training claimed: “In school year 2016-2017, Nam Dinh teachers and students have tried very hard and adapted learning and teaching, assessment and evaluation methods in order to develop ability and quality of students, which improves major results, especially in national exams.

Particularly, in National Exam 2016-2017, Nam Dinh is the province with the highest average score and the highest average score of Maths. Thousands of Nam Dinh students competed and got high prizes in different contests held by Nam Dinh Department of Education and Training and Vietnam Ministry of Education and Training, such as English public speaking contest and Science and Technology contest.

Especially in National exam for the gifted 2016-2017, Nam Dinh has 94 participants (11 teams), 77 of whom win prizes (1 first, 19 second, 30 third and 27 consolation). Bui Manh Tu (Le Hong Phong gifted High school), who received the first prize in Worldwide Competition of Microsoft Word 2013, became one of three representatives for Vietnam in the final round of Worldwide Competition 2017 of Microsoft Office in the US and gained Bronze.

Attending the Award, the President of Nam Dinh Council, Mr Pham Dinh Nghi said: “Nam Dinh Department of Education and Training tends to adjust teaching and learning methods to catch up with local situation and general trend and attract more investment into education.”

In the award, the organizers announced awarding decisions of Vietnam Ministry of Education and Training, Nam Dinh Department of Education and Training, Education Funds and Luong The Vinh Funds for Education, honored and awarded thousands of outstanding teachers and students in school year 2016-2017. The total prize is up to 1,97 billion.
